Surgery

Having surgery is a daunting prospect for most people. The best thing you can do is approach it with a positive attitude. Watching videos of surgery on U-Tube is often counterproductive and creates more anxiety. I do not recommend it. I will not have offered you surgery if I did not think you would gain benefit. In most cases you will have failed conservative options with surgery being last resort and inevitable. Accept this and make the most of it. I aim to make you better while minimising risk.

With this in mind I have included copies of my Pre-Operative instructions and the consent form you will need to sign. Please read these beforehand so that we can address any questions. Obviously these apply specifically to my practice in Cape Town South Africa.
